From 1:26 to 1:45 the keyboardist brings up a great point about Smitty using a 7-bar phrase versus an 8-bar phrase. Very Eltonesque! He even has said he's taken cues from Genesis and Yes!

When I was an Anglican priest we began every service with these words Harley Lord Jesus Christ said this is the first and great commandment to love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your mind and with all your strength. He then said this is the second command that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. He said fulfill these two commands and you could feel all the law on the prophets. Those words for me a words to live by.

I saw him in Wilmore Kentucky at a huge retreat. I can.t remember the name of the festival anymore. We took 25 kids. They had a blast, but I think I had just as much fun. Other great Christian Bands. I have not thought about that sadly in a long time.

This guy almost single handed kept Christianity alive from late 80 through 2000s. 🙌🏼

The intro almost sounds like a mix of In The Air Tonight, I Don't Care Anymore, and Take Me Home (Phil Collins). And the lyrics are amazing!

I love this entire concert. It's Smitty at his peak, influenced by Genesis, Chicago, Elton, and many great '70s and '80s artists!
